This Japanese import Toyopet (that’s what Toyota are called in Japan) I discovered being photographed by its owner when I was out for a walk one Sunday. The owner had just bought it at auction in Japan and had it shipped over to Edinburgh where he lives. He told me that he’d made a small business out of doing it when he was at university and continues to import classic cars because it means that he gets to drive something no one else has around the city for a while before selling them on. I offered to shoot some photos so he parked it on the Granton pier so I could shoot in the evening sunshine. I love this little old classic with its late 1960’s styling, keep an eye out for it on the streets of Edinburgh I hope it stays in the city when it gets sold on!
